- Feira do Artesão (Feira de Artesanato da Vila) Municipal craft market next to the Waldemar Belisário Cultural Centre, in the Vila. The Prefeitura does not publish its days and hours.
- Mercado do Peixe Municipal fish market at Av. São João, 268. Fish and seafood sold by the local fishing families themselves, daily 8am to 5pm. Three restaurants on site cook the fish you buy there (closed on Tuesdays).
- Mercado Municipal de Ilhabela (Mercadão) Municipal market at Rua Benedito dos Santos Sampaio, 418, expanded in 2026, with room for local producers and small businesses and festivals during the year. The Prefeitura does not publish its regular hours.

- FUNDACI (Fundação Arte e Cultura de Ilhabela) The town's arts and culture foundation. It runs the cultural hubs and opens free dance, music, visual arts and theatre workshops each semester.
- Museu Afro (Museu da Cultura Afro-Brasileira de Ilhabela) Museum on Afro-Brazilian history and culture on the island, inside the Engenho D'Água farm. Free entry, daily 9am to 5pm.
- Museu da Iluminação e Energia Museum in the island's old hydroelectric station, on the history of light and power in Ilhabela. Free entry, daily 9am to 5pm.
- Museu Náutico (Antiga Cadeia e Fórum) Finds from shipwrecks around the island, such as the Príncipe de Astúrias, plus an archaeology collection. Free entry; Mon to Thu 10am to 6pm, Fri to Sun and holidays 10am to 9pm.
Music, theatre and cinema

State Park and protected areas
The State Park covers most of the island; official trails need online booking and some require a monitor.
- Estrada Parque de Castelhanos 17 km dirt road across the island to Castelhanos bay, on foot, by bike or by 4x4. Self-guided, with a daily cap, online booking and entry from 7am to 2pm.
- Parque Estadual de Ilhabela Fundação Florestal park that covers most of the archipelago. Open daily 8am to 6pm; free entry, with online booking before you go.
- Trilha do Bonete 23 to 24 km round-trip hike to Bonete beach, past the Laje, Areado and Saquinho waterfalls. Hard; monitor optional, online booking, entry 7am to 2pm.
- Trilha do Pico do Baepi Climb to the peak and its viewpoint, 7 to 8 km and about 6 hours. Hard; monitor required, online booking, start between 7am and noon, up to 175 people a day.
Waterfalls and viewpoints
Public waterfalls and viewpoints, with access, rules and fees as the official sources give them.
- Cachoeira da Friagem About 25 m drop, with a viewpoint over the São Sebastião channel. 2 to 3 km trail, hard; the Park requires a monitor and online booking, 7am to 4pm.
- Cachoeira da Laje First waterfall on the Bonete trail, with natural pools; 4.6 km round trip. Monitor optional, online booking, entry 7am to 2pm.
- Cachoeira do Gato The tallest waterfall in the Park, for viewing only; swimming only at Poço do Gordo. Self-guided 4 to 5 km trail from Castelhanos beach, with booking and up to 100 people a day. Reached by boat or 4x4.
- Cachoeira do Veloso Drop of more than 30 m. 2 to 3 km trail, moderate, at the end of Rua José Pereira Carolo; monitor required and online booking, 7am to 5pm.
- Cachoeira dos Três Tombos (Pancada d'Água) Short trail, up to 1 km, at the end of Alameda dos Guapuruvus, swimming allowed. Monitor required and online booking, 7am to 5pm.
- Parque Municipal das Cachoeiras Town park about 3 km from the ferry, with an accessible waterfall (ramps and a free amphibious wheelchair), the Poço do Furado pool (570 m round trip) and the Água Branca falls viewpoint, where entering the water is not allowed.
- Trilha da Água Branca Self-guided trail of about 4 km round trip with five swimming pools. It starts at the State Park gatehouse and has toilets, showers and parking at the entrance.
